Accessibility Alternatives
The mapping tool includes some features that require mouse input, such as the drawing tools in the "Search by Area" function. As a result, some adaptive technologies may experience difficulties accessing certain dynamic elements of the map. However, all data displayed on the map is also accessible through the tables located below the map.

Find a place and locate on the map...
A filtered list of places will appear as characters are typed. With a selection, the map will zoom to its location.

Zoom in on the map. Scrolling the mouse wheel up will also zoom in.

Zoom out icon
Zoom out
Zoom out on the map. Scrolling the mouse wheel down will also zoom out.

Pan the map
Clicking and dragging the map will pan the map.

Enter fullscreen icon
Enter fullscreen
Make the map fullscreen. Press the Esc key to exit fullscreen mode.

Select a layer to display on the map.

Search by area icon
Search by area
- Point: Click on a specific location on the map to select it. Click "Search" to filter the table below the map and display information near that point.
- Line: First click on the map to define the starting point of your line. Then click again to define the end point. Press "Enter" to complete the line, then click "Search" to filter the table below the map and display information under the line you have drawn.
- Polygon: Click on the map to define the starting point of your polygon. Continue clicking to add additional points, creating the shape of your polygon. To complete the shape, connect the last point to the starting point or press "Enter" twice. Once the polygon is complete, click "Search" to filter the table below the map to display information for the area within the polygon.
Import/Export Search Area
- Import file: Click "Import file". A pop-up window will appear with the option to import a file. Accepted formats are KML, KMZ, ZIP, GEOJSON, and SHP.
- Export file: To export your search area, click "Export file". This allows you to download your shape in GEOJSON, KML, or SHP format.
Set a buffer distance
If you want to include surrounding areas, set a buffer distance around your shape. Click "Search" again to update the table with all areas within the buffer.
